How Can Cough And Vomiting In An Infant Be Treated?
Hi, My child is 1.3 years old. he is suffering from fever, cough and vomiting., i took him to the hospital, doctor prescribed Cefolacoral susp, indowel 5ml,delponorm sachets and weltone drops . after using two days he is ok, now once again he has same problem now could and cough is more and vomited two three times a day. can you suggest on this please .. thanks, Chandru
He has been given antibiotics, healthy bacteria, zinc and antiemetic drug.
The cough not resolved by an antibiotic, so it can be a viral infection and symptomatic management can be continued in the form of an antiemetic sachet.
However, additionally, chest x-ray and CBC can be done for further workup. You should consult him to a nearby pediatrician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
