How Can Cough And Wheezing Be Treated?

Had a round of bronchitis before Christmas. Was given an antibiotic , steroid, cough med and inhaler. Went back beginning of Feb and was given another inhaler with antibiotics. Still have a little cough and some wheezing which is mostly annoying at night. Should I go back to Doc or just use my inhaler? It is somewhat better but need it to go away.

Hi,

It is due to persistent respiratory tract infection. Instead of continuing inhaler, I suggest you visit the emergency room. You may need investigations and examination and accordingly, drug therapy can be initiated. But for symptomatic relief, you can use the inhaler if you have difficulty in breathing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
