How Can Cough And Wheezing In A Toddler Be Treated?

My 2 year old has cough and wheezing in the night. He had just finished a dose of Avant Forte and neospirin H ear drops for an otitis externa. I am trying not to give him any medicine and instead using Steam / Vicks as options. I have Ascoril LS plus and Lecope at home. Are these medicines any effective ? Will they help him get a good night s sleep ? Thank you for your prompt response .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
if you have already completed a course advice you to consult a pediatrician and get physically examined if wheeze still persists
alternatively try steam inhalationn twice a day
proper clothes as weather
warm fluid
warm water saline gargles thrice a day if child can spit and had started brushing and has an idea
keeping head end raised will help child breathe easily at sleep
a drop of eucalyptus oil on bedside, it's fumes will help
warm mustard oil with burnt garlic rubbed gently on child head feet and chest will help him sleep better
Any history of fever or cold
