Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

Cough during pregnancy is quite disturbing because already your intraabdominal pressure is high and cough worsen your sufferings.

It could be due to some minor infection and you can very well manage the condition by conservative therapy.
I suggest you to consult a general physician or even a gynecologist and get the following things done:-
1- Amoxicillin is safe in pregnancy and it does not cause harm to your baby. You can take amoxicillin empirically for five to seven days.
2- An expectorant cough syrup can be tried to clear of mucus and secretions. Do not use codeine containing cough suppressants.
3. If you have breathing difficulty, you can go for nebulization from your near by clinic.
You can also try home remedies like warm saline gargles or gargling with an antiseptic mouth wash.
Most cases resolve with in few days. If symptoms persist despite all these a detailed evaluation is needed.

Wishing you good health.
Thanks
