How Can Cuts On The Foreskin Be Treated?

I can t pull back my fore skin because there are ( paper cut ) similar places near the end of the for skin. My family doctor has give me Fluconazole 100mg for 5 days. This is day 4 and no improvement. He says it because of my diabetes. Last A1C was 7.4. Any thoughts?

Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In Diabetes, due to the immuno compromised status, one can develop fungal or / and bacterial infection, as you have developed of the prepuce. Please do apply the anti-fungal ointment like Terbinafine and antibiotic ointment Mupirocin, twice a day, depending on the type of infection. Please do not try to pull back the prepuce as it would injure the skin. Lust leave it alone, wash with soap and water and apply the specific ointment. You may please consult a Urologist to examine you and decide on the type of infection and local medication required. Doctor can also advise you on any oral medication if required.
