How Can Dark Spots And Hyperpigmentation On The Face Be Treated?

M Nisha here... I have dark spots and pigments on my face... I consulted Dr. Naik who s skin specialist in kanva... Doctor prescribed Glyco - A and some Sun screen lotion to apply... I applied for 2 months... It was of no use... Recently one of my friend told to use melamet cream... I used for 15 days... Now my skin has become fair... 60% of dark spots gone... I am happy but many r saying dat it contains steroid dat makes skin white now... Later it becomes dark... So have to stop bcoz it s very danger for skin.. so I am asking ur suggestion sir dat I have to quit or can I continue.... Plz suggest me sir..

Hello,

You have symptoms of dark spots and hyperpigmentation on the face which could be due to excessive exposure to UV rays. Need not to worry. I would suggest you wash your face with mild soap twice a day and apply kojivit cream. You should exfoliate your skin twice a week and apply vitamin E oil at night before going to bed. Protect your skin from excess sun exposure as it can worsen the condition. It condition doesn't get improved in a month than consult dermatologist again for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe benzoyl peroxide cream, corticosteroid cream, and retinoids. The doctor may recommend chemical peeling or dermabrasion depending upon the severity of the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
