How Can Date Of Conception Be Confirmed During Pregnancy?

If my last month period was 11/12/2017, I have been confirm pregnant on the 12/1/2018 but at my dating scan I was 6 weeks 3 days but ment to be 7 weeks. Does this mean I ovulated late? Or can it be something else, my periods are usually 28-29 days my previous period the month before was 35 days but that was my only one that was off in over 12 months or more
