yes, I have a 19 yr old grandson who called and confided in me today about a problem he s having. He s very depressed. Feels like he disconnected with himself.. Accenting all the negatives about good evil devil Lord etc...He s reaching out to me feeling I can help.. He mentioned PTSD.. also a couple of bad trips on LCD.. Pot seems to be what helps him relax, but it sounds to me it only makes him more depressed.. Obviously I m very worried and afraid for him.
Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. The main treatments for people with PTSD are psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of the two. Everyone is different, so a treatment that works for one person may not work for another. Some people may need to try different treatments to find what works best for their symptoms. Several types of medications can help improve symptoms of PTSD: Antidepressants. These medications can help symptoms of depression and anxiety. They can also help improve sleep problems and concentration. The selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) medications sertraline (Zoloft) and paroxetine (Paxil) are used. Anti-anxiety medications. These drugs can relieve severe anxiety and related problems. Prazosin. If symptoms include insomnia with recurrent nightmares, a drug called prazosin (Minipress) may be used. Hope my answer was helpful. Best regards.
