Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am concerned about my mental and physical health. I am a 63 yr old female living with type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, a heart issue, COPD, and just had my thyroid removed. I also live with major depression, PTSD, ocd, and ADD. My question- is there and alternative other than just taking medicine-like something more natural like vitamins, minerals and the like?
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you can have supplements for calcium D3, B12, B6, and folic acid, as well as micronutrients deficiencies, should be ruled out and replaced accordingly however medical therapy has to be continued alongside for your chronic issues and no unapproved regimen may be tried hence as consequences can be heavy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
