How Can Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

I m assuming what I had was a stomach virus. I had a couple bouts of diarrhea on Saturday night, felt fine on Sunday morning so I got ready and went to church. During church I felt this kind of yucky feeling in my stomach but still felt okay. We ate lunch at our local Mexican restaurant. About an hour or two after eating the diarrhea kicked in majorly for the next 12 plus hours. On Monday I still felt yucky and still had a few diarrhea episodes. Here it is Thursday and I still feel yucky. I m having constant pains in my extreme upper abdomen. What do you suggest? Will this go away? I feel horrible.

Hello welcome to the health care magic

It's around one week duration diarrhea

So it could be infective diarrhea..
You can be prescribed ofloxacin plus ornidazole combination drug for five days

Avoid excess spicy foods

Avoid excess tea, coffee, smoking etc...

Cooked oatmeal help in soothing stomach

Take rabeprazole 20 mg OD for week

As per my opinion better to investigate with stool routine micro examination with occult blood examination
