How Can Diarrhea And Nausea Be Managed While On Pantoprazole?

Yes,I just started taking pantoprazole 40mg. And I m experiencing severe diarrreahea, stomachs pain, nausea...And went to the er. And they wouldn t listen to me they sent me home making believe I had a stomachs virus so I forgot to take it the next mourning and I woke up feeling great and I ate normally and everything ..this mourning I start taking again and I m sicker then before , I called the er and they were mad that I think it was a side effect and they didn t even offer help..

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are correct in assuming that your symptoms are being caused by Pantoprazole drug. Nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhea are a rare side effect of pantoprazole drug but do occur in some people.

It seems that it does not suit you and you should immediately stop taking it. If you do need to take an antacid, then you can take one belonging to a different group like tablet Ranitidine.
