How Can Diarrhea And Stomach Discomfort Be Treated?
HI , I was taking an antibiotic cefdinir 300mg twice a day and Benzonatate 100mg cap, but have stopped those, I was taking for my Laryngitis and cold. But I have stopped taking these and every since I have had diarahara for the last 4 days. My stomach keeps growling then I have to rush to the bathroom. I have diverticulosis. I have been drinking water. I also seem to have a hemorrhoid from all of the diaharra. Should I call my Dr back or should I go to Urgent Care. What do you suggest.
hi you should go to the doctor diarrhea is the common side effect of some antibiotic and other medications. antibiotic induced diarrhea will be resolved on stoppage of antibiotic.but in your case it had lasted for more than 4 days even after stopping it,there should be properly invetigated. diverticuli remain silent for years in 90% of the cases.very rarely it may produce painful diverticulosis. its symptoms include diarrhea and cramping abdominal (belly) pain, with no fever or other sign of an infection.
