How Can Diarrhea, Belching, Abdominal Pain And Chills Be Treated?

My husband started having diarrhea, belching, mid lower abdominal pain, and goose bumps/chills yesterday. He ate sauerkraut and a bratwurst about 4 hours before his symptoms started. He has had several loose stools since and now has pink frothy stools x2. We don t have insurance and I wanted to know if this could just be from food and how long to wait before going to hospital?
