How Can Difficulty In Swallowing And Soreness Under The Jaw Bone Be Treated?
I am experiencing difficulty in swallowing and feel soreness under my jaw bone and some soreness in the back of my throat. Also some hoarseness for a couple weeks. This has been going on for about a month. I have numerous allergies, but this feels different. I also have taken thyroid medication for about 15 years, but that seems to be well managed.

Hi,
It can be due to pharyngitis or strep throat. As a first line management, you can take antibiotics like Amoxicillin for symptomatic relief. Do frequent warm saline gargles. You can take analgesics like Acetaminophen also.
If symptoms persist, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
