How Can Difficulty In Swallowing Be Treated?

Hi my mum has had kidney failure and heart failure she came home from hospital as all medication has been stopped as the doctors have said there is nothing more they can do ,she is very sleepy and warm ,she finds it difficult to swallow as she had a chest infection and probably still does is there anything you suggest to help her

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If she had a heart failure with kidney failure means :
Don't give liquids unless she pass urine.
Possible give oxygen.
Use concentrate of calories through ryles tube.
Give cardiac support with inotropic drugs
Give antibiotics for respiratory Infection
Give diuretics to decrease volume overload.

If symptoms not improved,
please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
