How Can Discomfort In The Buttock After An Injury Be Treated?

I have a ten year old daughter who fell on the bleachers at her school 2 months ago and hit her butt. She is still experiencing discomfort on occassion. Should we try icing and OTC pain meds for a while before bringing her in to her MD? We have not treated it at all.

Hello,

You can use icing and over the counter painkillers. But get her examined by a local doctor and get her X-ray pelvis and spine done. If it is hurting after so long then it must be taken seriously.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
