How Can Diverticulitis And Pain In The Lower Abdomen Be Treated?
i think my husband is having an episode of diverticulitis. Since Saturday, he has had crampy pain in his lower left abdomen and has been running a low fever (99 -100.4, though it did spike to 101 on Saturday night). He also started complaining of pain in his sides and back and neck on Sunday, though that seems to have eased, except the neck pain. If the low fever and abdominal pain continues, when should he consider seeing a doctor?

You should consult a doctor or your family physician in the following situations:
1- High-grade fever.
2- Severe abdominal pain that is worsening.
3- Changes in the bowel habits.
4- Bloody stools.
5- Persistent nausea and vomiting.
