Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! I m seeking material on BPPV to have in hand. I ve been to my GP and have had a CAT scan and am scheduled for a MRI next Tuesday followed by another appointment with my GP. Its the information I seek so that I might better understand what, if anything, I can do to lessen the vertigo symptom of dizziness. Thank you.
Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
In Benign paroxymal positional vertigo, dizziness occurs in particular position. It is clinical diagnosis after examination by otorhinolaryngologist. MRI scan will rule out any organic Pathology if present. In BPPV, epley's manouver is helpful in relieving symptoms.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
