How Can Dizziness Caused By A Head Injury Be Treated?

I took a bad fall off of my horse 2 days ago. Fell backwards and landed on my lower back. The back of my head bounced off of very hard packed ground. I have some swelling on the back of my head and still feel a lot of pressure and pain there. The nausea has gone away but I still have a bit of dizziness. I m trying to avoid the emergency room as I don t have insurance. I ve been resting. Any suggestions on where to go to be seen that isn t the ER. Urgent care won t see head injuries. Thanks, Shannon

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As of now drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
If symptoms persists you can consult a neurosurgeon and plan for a CT scan to look for any delayed concussion or head injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
