How Can Dry And Raised Patches On The Face Be Treated?

I have had a rash on my face for a few months. I have fair skin and no history of acne. Really good skin. I ve noticed red dots under the surface of my skin. They are not raised, do not itch, are not pimples. I have two patches of my cheeks that are slightly raised like and dry patch. At first I thought it could be rosacea but not sure. It s not getting any better. I ve tried an extra moisturizer. I see some improvements but then the boldness appears again? Any thoughts?

Hello,

As per your case history, you have pityriasis alba. My treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a vitamin A supplement once daily for three months.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, topical steroid cream given only after consulting a dermatologist

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
 Dr. Harshit Bhachech
