General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cough could be due to allergic bronchitis, acid reflux, throat infection. I would suggest to consult ENT surgeon and undergo throat examination, routine blood tests, throat swab test to confirm cause. Following treatment will help you:

Take Cough syrup containing Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan (Q tussin CF): 10 ml three times a day. Tablet Pantoprazole, before meal for 2 week.

- Tablet Cetrizine at bed time
- Drink plenty of lukewarm water
- Steam inhalation 3-4 times a day
- Strepsil throat lozenges (neem and honey flavor): take every 3 hourly
- Avoid cold beverages, exposure to pollutants, spicy/oily foods

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
