How Can Ear Ache Along With Sore Throat And Fever?

My 10 year old daughter was complaining of an ear ache and sore throat yesterday. She started the morning with a temp of 100.2. She went to school and was miserable all day. She now has a temp of 100.7, right ear ache, sore throat, head ache, feels as though her whole back is on fire and has some muscle aches. What can I do at home or should I take her in to the clinic?

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your daughter is suffering from upper respiratory tract infection and the symptoms of earache, sore throat and fever are due to it..
As it is a viral infection it will resolve once the virus will complete its cycle in human body..
As of now you can start with supportive treatment to relieve the symptoms like:
-Gargle with a warm saline solution that is by mixing 1 teaspoon salt in a glass of water and warm it to
make a luke warm solution..
-Take a combination of decongestant like Phenylephrine, mucolytic like Ambroxol and anti allergic
levocetrizine and another combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen..
-Take cough expectorant containing Gueifenesin and cough suppressant containing Dextromethorphan.
-Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
-Do steam inhalations..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..

In case of no improvement consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated..
