Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
for the past week I have what feels like air/cotton in my ear, I ve tried ear drops, decongestant, and antihistamine as suggested by doc. When I put ear drops in it irritates my ears, feels as if something is moving in around in side. What might be causing this, nothing seems to help.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear congestion which seems to be due either residual respiratory tract infection or due to earwax accumulation. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for otoscopic examination of ear and auditory testing as well and start treatment after proper examination. Drink plenty of fluids. You should take combination of antibiotic such as Levofloxacin along with antiinflammatory medication. Put otogesic ear drops in ear. Apply warm compresses. You should go for mouth stretching exercises.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
