Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My right ear got blocked after I used a cotton bud. After sleeping I found out that I couldn t hear from my right ear more especially when I make certain movement then I decided to use a cotton bud which resulted to the hearing loss but not completely and there is no pain I have been using an ear drop ANTIBIO-SYNALAR since two days but no result please I need guidance preferably drugs because I am an apprentice I don t have enough money and my boss would never support or allow me to see a ENT if there was one in my area. Thanks in advance
First of all the ear needs to be checked. There could be excessive buildup of wax or see if the cotton from the earbud is left inside the ear.
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination has to be done to rule out the exact cause of hearing loss.
For now you can start using decongestant nasal drops like Xylometazoline and do steam inhalations. Do not put anything inside the ear as you can go too deep and cause damage to eardrum.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Honey Arora, Dentist
