Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your complain clogging and congestion in ear seems to be most probably due to fluid accumulation behind the eardrum and blocked eustachian tube..
It can occur after a bout of cold as the ear and throat are connected via Eustachian tube ..
Sinus infection or Sinusitis can also be a cause.

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, otoscopy etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, oral as well as nasal decongestants like Xylometazoline nasal sprays.
Along with it steam inhalation and chewing chewing gum can help..
In case of no improvement in 15 days surgical drainage by making a small incision through the eardrum can help..

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
