How Can Ear Infection Be Cured?

Hi my boyfriend suffers from a bad ear infection quite allot but it only usually occurs when he goes swimming. This has occurred on its own, he can't sleep and the pain is unbearable. He also has blood and puss coming from his ear help plz. It's also in both ears.

hello,thans for ur query, both side ear pain,associated with pus, reinfecting by swimming, are all symptoms of chronic otitis media, where pus is coming from middle ear to external ear by perforation of tympanic membrane. u advise him not to go to swimming and not to allow water per ear during bath.in my opinion he should start on tab.ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for 5 days,tab.brufen 400mg twice daily for 3 days. ear dops. otocin-o 3drops/3times/1wk. he requires audiology tests to reveal his hearing status followed by surgery for worst ear.take care.
