How Can Ear Infection Be Treated?

My son is 20. He just came from the Dr. He has ear infections in both ears and was prescribed cefdinir 300mg neomycin-polymyxin HC drops and Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen. He is experiencing a lot of pain. Can you tell me how long it might be on these meds before he experiences some relief?

Hello,

From the medications the ENT doctor prescribed. He should follow his doctor's advice.
The real relief would be experienced the third day after starting treatment. He should feel some relief by the second day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
