How Can Earache In A Toddler Be Treated?

Hi Sir, My kid is 2.8 yr old .yesterday suddenly he feld uneasy about his left ear and started crying .I have noticed he is keep on touching his ear and crying. So I consulted my pediatrician ,and she suggested me otogesic ear drop . I am not sure why he is crying and what is the issue exactly. Kindly suggest whether we need to go to any hospital for ear check up or not. Kindly confirm about the otogesic doges.

An antibiotic ear drops should be instituted to treat otalgia in a toddler but the dosage and selection of antibiotics depend on thorough clinical examination and decision on the body weight dosage criteria.
