How Can Eczema On The Body Be Treated?

I have had exema off and on for about 20 years. However, about a year ago my skin started breaking out and has not quit. It is now so bad that I have broken out with a burning rash over most of my body. I have tried steriod creams, fungal cream and now am on an oral antibiotic and an antibiotic cream for a possible staph infection. In just the two days since that, it have gotten much worse. I do take Clonazepam for a familial voice tremer and Levathiroxine for thyroid. I don t know what to do

Hi,

Do not simply do hit and trial for treating your skin condition and immediately consult a skin specialist to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms. If it is eczema then you need appropriate steroid in the form of a steroid shot oral and topical steroids.

While if it is staph infection then appropriate antibiotics are needed. So first of all a clinical examination, a blood test and a microscopy of scrapings from the lesions has to be done to make a confirmed diagnosis and can be treated accordingly. For now, you can do cool compresses over the rashes, apply steroid ointment, apply calamine lotion to soothe the skin. See a doctor soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
