How Can Elevated BP Be Treated?

Which is better for lowering blood pressure, Propanolol or Amlidopine? I took Propanolol years ago for migraines. Stopped about 10 years ago. Was prescribed Amlidopine last month. This month I am trying Propanolol. Propanolol cost me about $44 dollars per month. Amlidopine was about $4.50 per month.
