How Can Elevated Blood Pressure Be Treated?

I was on Olmesartan Medoxomil 40 mg and Hctz 25 mg. After 2 years BP was creeping up to 140 s / 122-130. Cardiologist put me on Valsartan 320mg alone once daily. Started sat pm. Sunday was 132/83. This morning was 151/92. This evening is 187/101. Dr said would take a week or so to build up a supply in body. I am concerned that BP is so high. Your website said anything over 180 systolic ic an emergency situation. Can I double up on the prescription tonight? Should I seek emergency help?
