Hello, I just had a cardiac calcium scan and scored 187. I am scheduled for a stress test next. What is the likelihood I ll be started on medication and would it be a statin? My total cholesterol is 216 Hdl 113 LdL87 and do not have hypertension. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

If the cholesterol is elevated, drugs like statin are required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
