How Can Elevated Liver Enzymes Be Treated?

Hi,
My brother has an elevated level of SGOT and SGPT (in range of 120 to 130 for both). He is consuming alcohol from past 12 years and of late is drinking heavily. I presume he has developed a fatty liver. What is the best treatment option available and how fast can he get back to normal level if he abstains himself from alcohol from now ?

Hello and welcome to the HealthcareMagic!

He has elevated liver enzymes because of affected liver by alcohol.

So he has alcohol induced liver disease like fatty liver.

Further work up will be required in the form of USG abdomen scan to investigate further.

Udiliv 300 mg tablet can be prescribed for fatty liver.

Provide me usg report to comment further.

Consult your surgeon for examination and discuss your case.

Hope this helps.
