Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to treat or eliminate stage 4 tumors. Chemotherapy has not been very effective to treat gastric tumors if advanced as the only cure of hope is resection of the tumor if diagnosed at early stage. However it is good to hear that he does not have the symptoms, as his comfort is very necessary, however this does not mean that the tumor is healed but it is good that he is feeling well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Rahman
