How Can Excessive Flatulence Be Treated?

Our 10 year old son farts constantly...we just recently within the last few years that he was lactose intolerant but he s been gassy since birth...he had a scope done at the hospital which confirmed lacrose intolerance but he still even with a controlled diet he passea gas a lot! Should we be concerned?

Hello,

It is due to lactose intolerance only. He might have developed dyspepsia. You can try ranitidine syrup for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
