How Can Excessive Weight Gain Due To Hypothyroidism Be Treated?

hello my name is matt i have hypothyroidism i am currently taking 100 mcg of synthroid and the my dr. says my thyroid levels in my blood are now ok. I still experience symptoms tho I keep gaining weight, I am tired all the time and my muscles and jonts ache among other things. should i be seeing an endocrinologist? i ask my general dr and he says it takes time and ive been on synthroid for over a year
