How Can Facial Herpes Be Treated?

I have facial herpes 100% positive of this. I read it goes away on its own between 14-21 days. However it hasn t since I keep picking the scabs off and then putting cover up over the areas to prevent people from seeing it and basically re-infecting myself. I ts been a month and a half now since I got probably thorugh vaginal discharges from perfoming oral sex a lot. My mother says I need to get anti-viral medication. She is a nurse now for 30 years, but I have not taken her advice. Do I need a prescription or is there any home remedies I can use for this really frustrating and irritating problem that just doesn t seem to go away and every time it does then all the sudden it pops back up. Thank you for your time

Hello,

If your symptoms not improved need to take antiviral drugs like acyclovir five times a day for one week. Also, apply acyclovir gel locally. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
