Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
The pigmentation on nose and cheeks is part of a condition known as melasma.
Melasma commonly presents as brownish
hyperpigmentation over sun exposed skin of face like malar prominence, dorsum of nose and sometimes forehead and upper lip region.
Sun protection is an essential part in the management of melasma.
I suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day. Reapply every 2-3 hours.
You may use a pigment lightening cream containing one or more of the following ingredients like
kojic acid,
hydroquinone,
glycolic acid, azaleic acid, tretinoin etc.
These pigment reducing agents work by exfoliating existing pigment and by preventing synthesis of new melanin.
Treatment of melasma requires patience. It may recur after clearance if sun protection is not adequate.
I suggest you to visit a
dermatologist in your region for the needul.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist.
Glycolic acid chemical peeling is specially useful for melasma.
