How Can Female Pattern Baldness Be Treated?

Hi .. I am a 33 old female and have been using Minoxidil (2%) after being diagnosed with patterned baldness for hair loss. Though I still feel that its not helping me much, earlier i used to use the solution daily, then somedays when it was ok I would skip using it. Does that effect the treatment? and also doctor had prescribed Keraglow. I have moved countries, so what alternative is suitable?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If you are intending to use Minoxidil, kindly go for 5% and apply twice daily. Results will take about 4 to 6 months to be appreciable.

However, the other option which is available would be to go in for a hair transplant. But before that, it would be advisable for you to be evaluated for the cause of hair fall and then go for appropriate treatment accordingly.

Kindly consult Dermatologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
