General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query in HCM. Sorry to hear about your symptoms.
If the fever is not subsiding and still you have persistent cough and running nose, then you might require antibiotic tablets. Your symptoms are suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection. Doing warm saline gargling or betadine gargling frequently and drinking warm water, soup might help soreness of throat.
Steam inhalation will help in nasal blockage and runny nose.
Keep the body warm and well hydrated.
Taking Paracetamol tablets will reduce the fever. However, it is better to go to a local doctor for check up and start antibiotic if necessary.
Get well soon.
