How Can Fever Along With Cough And Headache Be Treated?

My nine year old daughter has had a temperature between 100 and 102 for two days. Also, a headache and congested head with a bit of a cough. have been giving her Motrin and then started Tylenol. Fever comes down some but still sticks around. no vomiting or diariha. Should I take her to doctor? antibiotics?

Hello,

Related the symptoms of your daughter I think is only a virosis without complication for the moment. It is a good news that the fever comes down after 2 days so, if she will not have fever in the future you don't need to meet a doctor but just continue using antipiretics (acetominofen), not antibiotics. Just in case if your daughter will have more than 3-4 days with fever you should meet a pediatrician to see for the complications.
