How Can Fever And UTI Be Treated?

My wife has been treated for urinary tract infection. She went to a minute clinic who diagnosed her with UT infection and prescribed Nitrofurantoin. She started taking yesterday, 4 caps so far. However she still has fever and still feels very bad. Does this med take longer to work than other antobiotics?

Your wife is having urinary tract infection. According to my opinion your wife should get further investigated with urine culture report. According to culture and sensitivity report specific antibiotic given. USG pelvis scan done to check kidney or bladder involvement. Meanwhile also take Cranberry juice extract tablet for week. Drink lots of water and fruit juices.
