How Can Fever And Cough In An Infant Be Treated?

Hi doctor, My baby is 1.2 years old and he have feaver cold and cough. My family doctor given me Bricarex A syrup. But I have a question is it safe for 1.2 yers old baby, because age limit written on the syrup bottle which is starting from 3 yr to Adult. So please suggest me is it safe for my baby? Thanks.

The bricarex A syrup contains gauifenesin, which is not recommended in children under age 2. Since baby is older than 1, you could try dark honey. I would also recommend nasal saline and gentle auctioning, as cough frequently is secondary to post nasal drip. a cool
mist humidifier may help, particularly if you are in a drier climate.
