How Can Fever And Runny Nose In A Toddler Be Treated?

My baby is 3yrs n 4months old... I gave him 5ml albenzole oral suspension 2 weeks back n now we should give him second dose... but he has mild fever n running nose, and giving him adol syrup every 6hrs... his doctor advised to start the antibiotics... my queries are as follows: 1. Can I give the second dose now as his temp is controlled on adol syrup 2. Can we give second dose after 3 weeks from first dose..? 3. Can we give second dose while he is taking antibiotics

Hi! Such a pain seeing your toddler going through this. Good news is, it's temporary!

As per your queries,
You can go ahead and give your second dosage at any point of time now. Better to give it a day after the course of antibiotics or a day before the course for keeping the drug effective. Essentially you are deworming the child from potential worms in the stomach. Albendazole has shown to cause minimal interaction with antibiotics. So you are safe to go ahead with it.
