General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Fever, shivering could be symptoms of viral infection or some bacterial or parasitic infection which should be ruled out by complete physical examination with some relevant tests. I would suggest you to consult a general physician and undergo routine blood counts with differential counts, ASO, CRP, ESR, blood test to rule out malaria, typhoid or any other pathogen predominant in your region. Meanwhile, continue to take paracetamol, bed rest, drink plenty of water, and take healthy diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
