How Can Fever Be Treated?

I am having fever for the last 5 days!! average 100F with throat infection which is now fine. but still having temp!! already started antibiotic!! my MPV is 11.5 but pletelets are within normal ranges!! M I fine?? my age is 39 and I am also a VT patient

Hello,

From what you are describing, you're going through bacterial throat infection which is being treated with antibiotics. With regards to MPV that you are worried, it is due to infection you are going through. However, we should evaluate all the other blood count range to have the whole picture. So far, you are doing fine, it might need a few more days to get back to normal again without fever. Do not forget to take fever medications and drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated. Wish fast recovery.
