Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
6 year old. Coming up on 48 hour fever. Fever goes down with Motrin in the first hours after he takes it then back up as Motrin is in its last hours. 98.6 was lowest. 101.8 high. Consistent fever almost always over 100 except for one 98.6 break. No vomiting, diarrhea. He says he is fine. up and playing.
How is the fever? High fevers? Associated with chills? Or rigorous? Is it continues fever or intermittent fever? Associated with the rash? Body pain? Headache? Cold? Vomiting? Burning micturition? Etcetera. Without history, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor he will examine and investigate and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
