How Can Fever, Cold, Cough With Throat Pain Be Treated?
had slight fever, cold and cough 3 days back when I showed it to a doctor who prescribed me Sinarest tablet, Meftal forte tab and Mit's linctus.... however after taking it for 2 days my throat has started paining badly and I am throwing out cough every now and then... throat pain is so high that I can even sleep properly... Kindly guide?

You are taking sinarest, meftal forte and Mits'linctus , but this is a symptomatic treatment i.e. lower fever and help in cough and cold but not a curative treatment .
As you mentioned that your throat is paining i.e. sore throat.
When such patient visit with these symptoms I prescribe LEVOFLOXACIN 10-12 mg / kg body weight ,once in day ( orally tablet ) .
Also take montelukast+levocterazine tablet once or twice in day with dextromhorphan+chlorapheniramine maleat+ambroxol couch syrup .
Take dextromethophan tablet as lonzges as this will ease pain in throat and provide relief in throat pain.
In my opinion you will get relief within 3 day , but if symptoms are persists more than 3 days then consult another physician and get his opinion ( 2nd one ).Hope this will help you.
