I have fibromyalgia, diagnosed in 2000...it s a constant problem. The last several days it has started effecting the right side of my face, along my jaw, both top & bottom. I also have TMJ, diagnosed in mid-1980 s. It doesn t feel like TMJ, my teeth are in very good condition. It feels like I ve been hit across my cheek, from chin to ear, w/ a 2x4. I live w/ pain everyday from the fibro, but this is EXTREME and unpredictable. I have no way of knowing when it s going to start, no precursors... My medications: Venlafaxine HCL 75mg, 2 tabs 2x/day; furosemide 40mg, 1/day; adderall 30mg, 1tab 2x/day; Zyrtec-D 1/day. I don t have anything for pain because nothing works for me other than Valium...I ve been through Mays & Schnapps Pain Clinic, 16 prescriptions -never again!!! Is there anything new that might help? I have a high tolerance to pain meds and a low tolerance to pain. I m not a drug seeker, so please don t recommend oxy-anything. It does not work for me. Can you please help me?
