How Can Flatulence Be Treated?

I have been passing gas for about 4 moths now about every hour. The older would put a cattle house to shame. Have seen a Geastriologist for same amount of time. Has has prescribed Dicyclomine as well as Trulance. Neither have worked and the Dicyclomine gave me hallucinations. I am embarrassed about this situation especially when eating with friends. The order hangs there or follows me back to the table when I have to make apologies.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Check out this website for gas-producing foods and avoid them:
https://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/tc/gas-flatus-topic-overview

Also, try using the product "Beano" before each meal. Products with simethicone may also be helpful, and they are available over the counter in products such as Gas-X.

I would also suggest adding the probiotic "Align" daily to help improve the normal bacteria in your gut.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
